Disclosure and contact experiences

Introduction
With UAP hearings in the US Congress and reports by the Pentagon and NASA, it seems we are closer to disclosure than ever before. Yet, as Bill Konkolesky puts it in his article below, this is a very lop-sided type of disclosure. It is a narrative that is promoted by the Pentagon that focuses on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena only and interprets their presence as a potential threat. In other words, it deals with only one aspect of an extraterrestrial presence. Contact experiences are ignored. And it also interprets the phenomenon through a heavily biased lens.
So, what we are witnessing is a limited and biased disclosure that serves the needs of the Pentagon. The picture that this narrative paints is incomplete and inaccurate. A more complete approach is needed, where one also considers the contact phenomenon in all its complexities.
We asked our panel members about their views on this matter.
- Mike Jamieson focuses on "Breaking Through Barriers of Ridicule and Denial".
- Bill Konkolesky discusses how UFO Disclosure is making some lop-sided strides.
- Thomas Minderlé (Montalk) examines the problems posed by including contact cases in the disclosure process.
- Giorgio Piacenza performs a more in-depth analysis on sharing contactee information in the disclosure process, where he explores the possibilities and attempts to come up with an answer and recommendation.

This will not be an essay with a clear-cut opinion from the beginning but an exploration of possibilities attempting to come up with an answer and a recommendation.
Introduction
I asked (to two reasonable, well-informed persons close to me) the question if contact experiences and its information should be included in the government-related disclosure narratives. Both told me that it would NOT be a good idea. And I understood their reasons why but - somehow - rebelled against them. One of them said that these contact experiences could add fear, confusion, and even insult, for instance, to billions of religious conservative people living outside the West. Since the news come from the West, many opportunist leaders would take advantage to radicalize their polities as a new evil trying to subvert their own cultures. The other person said that, there would not be a way to prove with solid evidence the claims of contactees speaking about far-our multidimensional realities and (sentiment and faith-based) spiritual messages and that this would make Disclosure less credible.
But don’t we live in the “age of the impossible” as Caroline Myss (best-selling author and well-known teacher in the fields of consciousness, spirituality, mysticism, energy medicine) explains in this YouTube video? Aren’t we being forced to face what was consider “impossible” and isn’t this be necessary to leave our complacency behind? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vySLw8aimrk&t=3s
And, aren’t we in an urgent, dire need to change how we relate with each other and with life by expanding how much of reality we are willing to embrace? Can the latter only be done under the umbrella of an existential “threat”? Doesn’t the UFO or UAP phenomenon itself point towards having to accept the “impossible”? The question is whether we can do it on a global scale, turning it into a life-enhancing experience.

Orbs as anomalous phenomena

Some orbs are clearly anomalous phenomena, despite the bad rap they’ve been given. But what are they?
There are some phenomena that occasionally fall into a fad-like category, like crop circles. Leveled patches of crops, sometimes in random formations, sometimes intricately well-designed, appearing unexpectedly and extensively in England and, to a lesser extent, in other places drew intense interest for several years but now the phenomenon and interest in it has waned considerably. One great reason for the high number of crop circles was that a great many were man-made by individuals like the infamous “Doug and Dave” working the fields as their personal canvass. Some formations were truly anomalous, though, as William C. Levengood and other scientists demonstrated curious features in some crops such as “node expulsion” (the plants blew out from within!) that couldn’t be explained by tromping down fields with a board and a couple ropes. Even so, those who were satisfied to hear that some of these were man-made, unfortunately, were all too content extending this conclusion to all examples.
Around the year 2000, when digital photography took off with a fancy new breed of camera that would eventually find its way onto phones, other unusual phenomena stepped into the limelight, as well. People were taking pictures of the sun, only to conclude that a black spot on the solar surface in their picture must be a UFO. It wasn’t (just an overexposed pixel). Folks were taking pictures of spiral shaped creatures that couldn’t be seen by the human eye, dubbing them “rods,” a previously unknown life-form. These were insects (the spirals being the blurred freeze-frame of fast-beating wings giving the illusion of a solid shape). Individuals were taking pictures of glowing orbs that were also unseen but clearly appearing on digital images. These were just dust particles reflecting light. Now, no one wants to listen to orb stories.
But wait, this is where orbs and crop circles have something in common. Some of both of these are authentically mysterious. As a State Director for a chapter of the Mutual UFO Network, I have heard and read many directly witnessed accounts of balls of light of multiple sizes and colors in multiple locations, both inside and outside people’s homes and cars (without cameras involved). These balls of light sometimes appear quite intelligent, navigating through landscapes, seemingly examining man-made structures, and intentionally flying around (and even into!) people. Those familiar with the accounts of the Skinwalker Ranch know that lively orbs are part of that location’s paranormal circus.

Orbs may be defined as spherical floating anomalies. Since this covers quite a wide spectrum, we cannot assume all orbs are the same thing. Their range of size, texture, luminosity, color, and motion indicate various classes of orbs. Some can be explained away as ordinary objects, but some cannot.
Mundane explanations include Chinese lanterns, party balloons, weather balloons, balloon satellites, drones, and ball lightning. Lanterns and balloons move in smooth trajectories and at reasonable speeds. Chinese lanterns predictably flicker in the breeze and fade out after 10 minutes. Weather and satellite balloons are usually white or silver in daylight and don't glow at night.
Balloons and lanterns don't accelerate at high speeds, make sharp right-angle turns, or change color. Ball lightning can have these traits but it's extremely rare to see more than one at a time, let alone ones that fly in formation. Drones have size limits, whereas orbs several meters in diameter or larger are commonly reported. Drones that can hover stationary have a maximum speed of 150 kph (100 mph) which is far slower than some reported orbs.
Not to mention none of these ordinary objects can fade out from view, be optically invisible but still visible to infrared cameras, or move at extreme speed and acceleration. Therefore any orb that demonstrates such characteristics is truly anomalous.
The smallest orbs are ones that show up in photographs usually taken inside the home. These are mere inches in diameter. Some could just be dust particles reflecting light, but attempts to replicate such photos with dust or mist are not a perfect match. These orbs only show up on camera, a translucent white, and are likely localized spherical emissions of infrared or ultraviolet light. Various sources have speculated that these particular orbs are associated with a disembodied consciousnesses (discarnate humans or remote viewers) being in the room. In his 2014 paper "Wormholes and Paranormal Phenomena," paranormal investigator David Rountree suggests these orbs are spheres of UV-emitting cold plasma created by ionizing gamma radiation from micro-wormholes.

This set of Ask the Panel articles has to do with orbs. We have two experiencers who share their stories of interactions with orbs that appear to be non-human intelligences.
But let us first kick off with a more general introduction to the topic of orbs. Ufologists have varying opinions about orbs. Some researchers believe that these orbs could be a type of advanced technology used by extraterrestrial beings. Some suggest that they could be related to more terrestrial phenomena, such as experimental military aircraft or advanced drone technology. Or they could be a natural phenomenon, such as dust particles or insects caught in the camera lens or reflections of light. Some ufologists suggest that orbs may be interdimensional beings or energy manifestations, while others view them as a paranormal or spiritual phenomenon.
In this article, we’ll discuss orbs as UFOs, orbs as camera artifacts, and orbs as a type of non-human intelligence.
My Journey with Orbs-of-Light

An Experiencer’s account
- Erica Koen
My journey with orbs began without my knowing it.
In 2005 I was working as an energy healing practitioner. I had seen the images of discs of light in photos circulating on the internet. Word had it, that those images were all dust, moisture particles or camera artifacts, so I did not make any connection to orb images and what I had begun to see with the naked eye. (Of course, the internet is flooded with photos of orb-like dust particles etc., but just because some orb photos are not genuine, it does not therefore invalidate the whole orb phenomenon.)
I had been seeing tiny specks of blue light for some time, but these began to change. The lights now began to emerge like pinpoints of light coming out of deep space and then they would expand into flashes or spinning circles of light of varying colours. Silver, blue, indigo, purple, and gold were the colours of most of the orbs present in my healing room. On other occasions, at home or in public, I would also see red-, green- and rainbow-coloured orbs. They would remain for just a few seconds before disappearing, although I would know that they were present nonetheless.
When I saw the orbs in my healing room, I would experience a fine vibration running through my body and I would feel slightly breathless. Then I would know I was “connected.” The orbs would flash to draw my attention to important things a client would be saying or to affirm something I was saying (or thinking!) They would often give me important insights telepathically, that would aid a client’s healing process. Sometimes they would pinpoint a spot on the client’s body. I would then know to investigate that further. Once I watched as a blue orb flashed brightly next to a troubled client’s head. The client gasped and exclaimed that she had just had the most brilliant insight and solution to her problem. I replied: “Yes, I know. I saw!” The idiom “I saw the light” instantly took on new meaning for me then.
Through a series of synchronicities, I was led to do healings also for animals. The orbs were ever present with the animals as well. (One of these orb-beings told me his name was Doctor Anu.)

CONVENTIONAL EXPLANATIONS
Fujifilm describes the orbs as a common photographic problem :
“There is always a certain amount of dust floating around in the air. You may have noticed this at the movies when you look up at the light coming from the movie projector and notice the bright sparks floating around in the beam. In the same way, there are always dust particles floating around nearby when you take pictures with your camera. When you use the flash, the light from the flash reflects off the dust particles and is sometimes captured in your shot. Of course, dust particles very close to the camera are blurred since they are not in focus, but because they reflect the light more strongly than the more distant main subject of the shot, that reflected light can sometimes be captured by the camera and recorded on the resulting image as round white spots. So these dots are the blurred images of dust particles.”
ORBS PHENOMENON SEEMS EVOLVING
Two decades ago I started to have my orbs pictures journey, an unexplained phenomenon easily to mix up with a natural phenomenon, after taking thousands of orb photos, I heard all the guesses from people on how the orbs might show up in the pictures. They says everything from light reflection on the dust in the air, to dirt on the camera lens, to water vapor or dew have all been put forth as possible explanations for causing orb-like phenomena. I do agree the above explanations are answered some of the orbs image, and that was my explanation at the early stage too, but if you continue to practice this orb photos exercise, you will find that the images you took seems getting much intense, and even got evolving. All those conventional reason wont fit in anymore.
The Bigger Picture Part 2

We continue our exploration of the bigger picture in this second part of our Ask the Panel question.
If you haven't read part one yet, please do: The Bigger Picture.
In part two, Denise Stoner and Rebecca Hardcastle Wright explore consciousness aspects of the bigger picture.
Denise Stoner
The picture as a whole might include reincarnation, subtle realms, and a conscious connection that perhaps ties these together in ways that we are just beginning to look at. If we ask people what their thoughts are on the subject, the various responses are so different from one another that connecting the dots in an attempt to join this subject matter together seems impossible. How do we bridge the gap? I have spent a great deal of time looking for ways to sort this out so the puzzle goes together smoothly. I find much more comes into play. Many branches of each segment can be added such as Near Death Experiences and Out of Body Experiences. Where do they fit into the picture? Are they subtypes of the main trunk or can they stand alone. Still, the differences in thoughts may just spread the distances even further. Some of these areas send us spiraling into a place of more and more questions as the floor drops out from under us and we drift into this unknown territory. I have chosen a few statements, thoughts, and ideas from both friends and suggested study then tossed in a few comments of my own. This could have been a novel as the sources of information and discussions are literally unending. I believe they all do culminate in one huge stepping off point where the search continues. I have attempted to define some of the main thoughts on the matter beginning with a statement made by a friend, psychologist, and very intellectual individual. I must give credit to Melanie Barton, LCSW, Ed.D for giving us some food for thought. She writes:
