A man from the wall (Czech Encounter)

Editor's note: this is another case submitted by Karel Rasin, and described in his book.
This is a story of a possible UFO abduction released by Project Alfa UFO files. Project Alfa is a Prague-based, non-profit group of researchers in the Czech Republic. Most of project Alfa members are also members of Exopolitics Czech Republic.
Case facts: witness: a woman, named Petra Lachova, age 29, living in Prague, married, not addicted to drugs or alcohol, one child (5 year old daughter).
Case explorers: Karel Rasin, Dana Rasinova. Date: 2012

It happened about 2 years ago (2010) in her Prague flat. During the night, she woke up and saw something strange coming from the wall just next to the door. It had a grey cloud-like shape and was crawling along the bedroom towards her bed. Then it appeared over her body and was making the same crawling movements. These events repeated several times during the year. With every new visit, the entity became more and more like a figure, like a being. There was a paradox though, physically it wasn't possible to see the door whilst lying in the bed because the furniture blocks the view. Yet she saw the door while lying in the bed! When the being appeared, she would be paralyzed and she found herself in very strange "altered" state of mind and all her senses had been very sharp. The being had the power to move her body, and wherever the being looked, she moved. The man from the wall turned her in the bed to the right, to the left, on her back, on her stomach just by his eyes, and she couldn't do anything about it. When the being appeared, it just stared at her eyes for a long time without doing anything. When the being came next to her bed, it started to talk in a very fast way. His mouth moved rapidly and his mouth looked like it was made from plastic because the rapid talking sort of deformed his mouth. She never understood what he had been talking about, but it reminded her of some codes. This happened many times.

The extraterrestrial presence and its political implications of are not at the centre of a public interest in the Czech Republic. The same goes for the field of ufology in general. Public awareness and knowledge about UFOs in the Czech Republic are non-existent. The Czech Republic officially has two UFO groups: best-known is Project - Glow (Prague), and there also is KPUFO (Club of Psychotronic and UFO – Plzen, western part of Czech Republic); apart from these, there also are some small regional groups.
But let us start from the beginning: since childhood, I had a strong feeling that some things are completely different than science says. After reading a book, by Erich von Däniken "Chariots of the Gods? Memories of the Future" as a teenager, I knew that my hunch was correct. Intuitively, I did never accept the idea that I come from monkeys. I knew something was wrong in our human´s history development. My views were very different from ordinary people, and I was often viewed as a man with "extravagant opinions." That's why I didn't want to study, I did not want to learn something that is not true. I got a press card and became free-lance journalist.
In 1998 I joined Project Glow, because it was the only one group interested in UFOs in Prague. I began to pursue cases of UFO abduction, because I received many letters of people describing this experience. I put together an investigation team with four colleagues. Based on my experience with this phenomenon, I wrote a book “Close Encounter of Fourth Kind” (UFO abduction in Czech Republic) (Votobia, 2002), where I collected 10 cases I explored with my team. To date we register over 130 similar cases in our database. (One is listed below).

ET Contact/Abductions and Phobias

A phobia is a persistent, irrational fear of a specific object, activity or situation that leads to a compelling desire to avoid it. In everyday life, everyone has fears that lead them to avoid certain things. A phobia, however, is a fear that leads to behavior detrimental to an individual’s everyday life. At the present time, there is no accepted term for a fear of UFOs because the existence of UFOs and ETs are not accepted by the scientific/medical community. However, phobias and ET contact events have been found to be linked.
Phobias have two basic parts – a traumatic initial or instigating event (IE) and a trigger event (TE). A phobia can arise immediately after the IE or years later when something happens to trigger the trauma and cause it to escalate into a phobia. This can happen even though the individual may have no conscious recall of it. To alleviate the phobia, it’s necessary to address both the initiating IE and the TE. Therapy sometimes uncovers phobias rooted in ET contact experiences, and while not all phobias develop from ET contact, the following is an example of one that did.
Client History
C.H. was a 32 year-old woman who presented with claustrophobia - an irrational fear of closed spaces. She had been uncomfortable in such spaces as long as she could remember, without knowing why. However, in the past two years her discomfort had increased to the point where it was limiting her ability to live a normal, active life. During therapy, this is what she recalled:
Star Children - the Extraterrestrial connection

Editor’s Note: this is an excerpt from The New Human, Mary’s forthcoming book
How do we recognize “The bringers of light”?
There are new generations of children incarnating on our planet who are very different to previous generations. They have been given many names such as Indigo’s, Crystal children, Children of light or Star children. The children are far more multi-dimensionally aware than what is presently considered to be the ‘norm.’ Many have a deep understanding of their multidimensional reality and speak about helping humanity awaken to a higher state of consciousness. They may also be aware of contact with non-human extraterrestrial intelligences.
“There is a race of beings upon the planet, increasing in number, although visually and physically indistinguishable to most humans. They are the “the bringers of light” and are here to guide the awakening of terrestrial consciousness”
“The New Children are born without programs and will bring about a Global Awakening.”

Metaphysical groups have recognized these children and offered labels to explain the differences. However, some are labeled dysfunctional because they struggle to socialize or cope with the pressures and conditioning modern society places on them. These labels include ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) Asperger’ forms of autism and Dyslexia. However, these labels may stem from our lack of understanding of the way these generations operate or perceive reality. It appears that many struggle with the conditioning of 3D reality.
The Gorebridge Story

Gorebridge is a small, ex-coal mining town about 15 miles south of Edinburgh, the Scottish capital city. Today it forms part of an increasingly urbanised network of similar satellite towns on the outskirts of the capital. My family originally comes from this area, and like so many others, its men had been miners. Drafted to fight in both world wars, they returned to a community that was about to be changed forever. For, in amongst the hustle and bustle of these human affairs there had also been a long-simmering, non-human agenda of secret meetings and whispered stories that was about to explode onto the human stage for all to see.
Sleep paralysis and alien abductions (part 2)

Continued from part 1: Sleep paralysis and alien abductions (part 1)
Gwen Farrell
Having worked with many Experiencers (ET contactee/abductees), studying the functions of the human mind as a therapist and looking into ET abduction/contact as an investigator, I've come to some solid conclusions about the existence of sleep paralysis and as a component of the ET contact/abduction phenomenon.
If you are an ET Experiencer, you may be have waked suddenly from sleep and observed or felt strange things going on in the room, beings standing at your bedside, touching you and possibly even verbalizing, while you are unable to physically react. It’s one of the most common and most terrifying aspects of the ET experience.
Science declares that such experiences are not paranormal events, but actually sleep paralysis, a fairly commonplace, physiological function that everyone with a normal brain has experienced at least once, and in some cases, chronically.
So who's right, Experiencers or science? I think the answer is both.

One of the new features in JAR Magazine is our 'Ask the panel' section. In it, we put one question to a handful of people with experience in the field, and ask for their feedback.
On 6 November 2015, the British Daily Mail news paper ran an article that suggested that alien abductions were 'probably' just the result of sleep paralysis. (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-3305792/Think-ve-abducted-aliens-probably-just-sleep-paralysis-Psychologist-attempts-logically-explain-encounters-fourth-kind.html). The author refers to an article that appeared shortly before in The Psychologist, which was written by Christopher C French, of Goldsmiths, the University of London. (https://thepsychologist.bps.org.uk/volume-28/october-2015/close-encounters-psychological-kind).
The theory that alien abductions are just sleep paralysis is an argument debunkers often come up with. It is, of course, an invalid argument, and fails to address, e.g., all the cases with multiple abductees, with witnesses, or where abductions do not happen in the bedroom. We thought it would be interesting to put the topic to our panel. For this occasion, our panel consisted of John Carpenter, Gwen Farrell, Nadine Lalich, Thomas Minderle, and Andrew Hennessey.

Can Sleep Paralysis Explain Abductions?
It must first be understood that sleep paralysis is a real physiological condition that can occur in anybody. During dreaming or REM sleep the central nervous system paralyzes the body except for the eyes. In the reticular formation in the brain stem an inhibition is produced which affects all muscle tone except for the eyes. This inhibition can still be in effect when our eyes open. In other words, the mind awakens before the body does. The mind gets confused by the unexpected sensation of paralysis. It is true that many abductions begin in the bedroom with the participant reporting a sense of paralysis or immobilization.
Civil Rights for Experiencers?

Civil Rights is a term that has been applied to efforts of fairness and inclusion for groups who have been marginalized due to ethnicity, gender, religious belief, socio-economic status, age, disability, sexual-orientation, as well as other noteworthy classifications. Is it not time to advocate for the better treatment of experiencers?
For the last decade, I have been an active member of a committee for diversity and inclusion at the college where I’m employed. I have seen good efforts toward educating the community on how to develop a better culture of understanding and respect alongside those whom are different from ourselves and I think there are some tools from these efforts that can be applied to encouraging better treatment of the experiencer community.
I define an experiencer as anyone who has encountered a paranormal intelligence, be it extraterrestrial, cryptid, or spirit.
